Reasons to get a wedding planner on board

Why hire a wedding planner

and how much does it cost?

It is Your Wedding Day – have it Your Way

Your wedding day is one of the most important days of your life. It is just one day and one chance to get it just right.  And every professional wedding planner is fully aware of this. So don’t think you are just one of many couples in their repertoire. Every couple is special to us, sometimes we even become friends for life!

And that is pretty amazing if you ask me!

The right wedding venue is everything

Starting with the venue that is really you, that reflects the vibe you are after. The venue that offers the comfort, practicality, and location that works for you and your guests.

Followed by music, lighting, and the bridal gown. All the important details to create that special moment in time for an unforgettable celebration.
Hunting for the bespoke items to simply add your personal touch, matching colours, choosing textures.

Organising and coordinating from small to bigger details can become quite overwhelming.  There can also be unexpected situations along the way that need immediate attention.

That is why hiring a professional wedding planner may be the best decision you and your fiancée have ever made!

The wedding planner will add so much value, flair, and style to your dream celebration

A good wedding planner already works with reliable wedding suppliers that provide discounted services for them and those discounts are passed onto the couples. As a professional member of the UKAWP, we do not accept a commission. Wedding Planners do not take ‘kickbacks’ from suppliers. And the final choice of a supplier is always yours! We don’t force any suppliers – they simply need to be perfect for the day we plan for you.

Wedding planners charge 10% -15% fee of the total wedding budget. How much depends on their experience in the field, location, and the type of weddings they plan. Every wedding planner has a specialty. Some plan only luxury weddings in their area, some plan UK and destination weddings.

We speciliase in marquee weddings and country house weddings as we are based in the Cotswolds and London. Most of our couples travel into the area and either work in London or abroad.

This one is obvious. Wedding planning, researching suppliers, and visiting the venues can take over 300 hours of your time. That is if your wedding is in the UK. It will take a few trips abroad if you are planning a destination wedding. I am sure you appreciate a helping hand as you are a busy couple.

Many of the suppliers you will hire to work on your wedding day are solely focused on delivering the best job. A clear mood board and design help deliver the best result. As well as on-the-day supplier management.

The difference between the venue’s coordinator and a wedding planner:

Venues will have a coordinator or a salesperson, however, they are also usually looking after just their part of the day and then rush back to the office to the main part of the job (which is to sell more weddings).
Venue’s coordinator will be there for your ceremony, maybe reception drinks and a wedding breakfast sit-down time. Once you and your party are at the main wedding reception, your coordinator vanishes. The wedding planner is with you every step of the way!  You both deserve to be looked after all day!

Many couples will choose to get married in a different postcode to their own home. It might be for many reasons. Their dream venue is elsewhere, it is central for the two families, or it is much cheaper out of the big city like London. This means they need to research even longer in a location they are not familiar with. A wedding planner knows how to hire reliable suppliers or bring their own team to the destination of your wedding.

Wedding planning has a tendency to take over the couple’s life. Every conversation they have might end up being about the wedding or wedding related. Keep your dates romantic and wedding planning-free zone! Your wedding planner has it under control!

As a bride and groom, you will be busy on the day smiling, hosting, and enjoying yourselves. So, you might want to appoint a few family members to do the ‘supervising’ job. Keep an eye on the schedule, on the music, on the food timings, and reminding you what you are supposed to do next. As nice as it is of your family to provide a helping hand, they might be nervous all day and focus on the job you have given them and forget that they are your guests too. The experience in running a smooth wedding day lies with a wedding planner. Not your family and friends.

Everything is taking care of. You couldn’t have forgotten anything because you have hired a professional wedding planner! Your friends and family are having a great time, the food is delicious, the drinks are flowing, you are relaxed and looking good!

Let’s create a perfect wedding celebration together!
