As a professional member of the UKAWP, we do not accept a commission. Wedding Planners do not take ‘kickbacks’ from suppliers. And the final choice of a supplier is always yours! We don’t force any suppliers – they simply need to be perfect for the day we plan for you.
Wedding planners charge 10% -15% fee of the total wedding budget. How much depends on their experience in the field, location, and the type of weddings they plan. Every wedding planner has a specialty. Some plan only luxury weddings in their area, some plan UK and destination weddings.
We speciliase in marquee weddings and country house weddings as we are based in the Cotswolds and London. Most of our couples travel into the area and either work in London or abroad.
This one is obvious. Wedding planning, researching suppliers, and visiting the venues can take over 300 hours of your time. That is if your wedding is in the UK. It will take a few trips abroad if you are planning a destination wedding. I am sure you appreciate a helping hand as you are a busy couple.

The difference between the venue’s coordinator and a wedding planner:
Venues will have a coordinator or a salesperson, however, they are also usually looking after just their part of the day and then rush back to the office to the main part of the job (which is to sell more weddings).
Venue’s coordinator will be there for your ceremony, maybe reception drinks and a wedding breakfast sit-down time. Once you and your party are at the main wedding reception, your coordinator vanishes. The wedding planner is with you every step of the way! You both deserve to be looked after all day!
Many couples will choose to get married in a different postcode to their own home. It might be for many reasons. Their dream venue is elsewhere, it is central for the two families, or it is much cheaper out of the big city like London. This means they need to research even longer in a location they are not familiar with.
